The Best Practices Analyzer uses the data to evaluate the deployment configuration. The Best Practices Analyzer does not modify any system settings, and is not a self-tuning tool.

System Requirements:

* Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 3

* You must have Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, BizTalk Server 2006 R2, or BizTalk Server 2009 installed on the computer on which you install the Best Practices Analyzer.
* You must use an account that is a member of the BizTalk Server Administrators group to run the Best Practices Analyzer.
* You must be a local administrator on every computer in the BizTalk group and you must be a member of the SSO Administrators group.
* You may need to explicitly set some Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) permissions before you can use the Best Practices Analyzer in a distributed environment, where SQL Server is not installed on the same computer as BizTalk Server.
This is because when the Best Practices Analyzer tries to connect to a remote computer running SQL Server, WMI may not have sufficient access to determine whether SQL Server Agent is running. This may result in incorrect best practices evaluations.
