I want to share my experience of using REFOG Personal Monitor. In our department, we implement several methods of work-time effectiveness control. One of them, a daily report, was our best achievement by now. Yet, I was unable to precisely determine the time required by our employees to complete particular tasks. REFOG Personal Monitor looked promising and we gave it a try. Although the program can run in a hidden mode, we let know our employees that we installed it. The employees and office managers were not worried about it. They most likely were not aware of the power of REFOG Personal Monitor. After a week I have got all the log files tracked by REFOG Personal Monitor and imported them into my spreadsheet. I grouped info by application name and determined totals. Then I applied simple rules to discard the time spent on useless Web pages, etc. Then we arranged a meeting and discussed the issues that had been detected. This alone has mproved the effectiveness of our department by up to 20%. Ive never used REFOG Personal Monitor since then. Theres no need to use it again. Just knowing that all their time is tracked makes our employees work more effectively. Thats my short story of how a few dollars invested in a small software can give you great results. Here is how REFOG Personal Monitor acts. The program runs in a stealth mode. Its not visible in the runnig processes list and cannot be stopped by the user. REFOG Personal Monitor logs all names of programs launched, captions of windows opened, all users keystrokes and captures screenshots. The program also tracks the Windows Clipboard and URLs of web sites opened in a Web browser. Logs can be automatically sent to an email or uploaded to an FTP folder on your server. The monitor can log how your employees use their computers and to monitor all text typed by them.
