from Duck Software
Home Inventory Manager is a software program for cataloging your home inventory.
Home Inventory Manager is a software program for cataloging your home inventory. The software was designed with a simple and intuitive graphical user interface. As a result, most of all the information is shown on the main screen making it easy to view and edit your data. Home Inventory Manager allows the user to customize the program for their specific needs. Custom features include the ability to create custom reports and print outs as well as an option to alter the field labels. Home Inventory Manager supports a number of data fields. These fields are places where you can enter in information for each item in your house. For example, the default fields include item name, category, value, condition, room, brand, serial number, etc. There are 17 fields total and they each can be altered to fit your inventory needs. What this means is that if you would rather name the “Model” field to “Type”, you can adjust the program to do this for you. Once you make the change, it is automatically made throughout the program including the reports and the main screen. In addition to the inventory item fields or labels, each item has an entry for Details, History, and Photo. The Details and History fields are where you can enter longer text entries like past ownership, the item’s description, unique history, or pretty much whatever info you want. The photo field is typically used for a picture of the item, but, could be used for whatever graphic you want. The main screen shows a thumbnail of the photo for the item that is currently selected. Other Home Inventory Manager features include undo, search, copy, standard reports that sort on various item fields, exporting data to .csv files, and help.
