EggLib is a C++/Python library and program package for evolutionary genetics and genomics.
EggLib is a C++/Python library and program package for evolutionary genetics and genomics. Main features are sequence data management, sequence polymorphism analysis, coalescent simulations and Approximate Bayesian Computation. EggLib is a flexible Python module with a performant underlying C++ library (which can be used independently), and allows fast and intuitive development of Python programs and scripts. A number of pre-programmed applications of EggLib possibilities are available interactively. To get an idea of the possibilities offered by EggLib, see the Manual section.
What's New in This Release:Small changes:
В· The utils command phyml accepted an option add_model that was meaningless (and ignored). It is now removed.
В· eggstats and the egglib script (or python -m egglib.utils) now reports the version number in the default manual page.
В· eggcoal takes a вЂ“version or -v option to print out the version number.
В· The C++ Fasta parser now provides methods that append sequences to an existing Container.
В· Container could not instanciate from strings.
В· The clean command of egglib-py setup.py was broken and caused an error.
В· The method Convert.Align() and the program eggcoal, when running with a fixed alignment length and using default mutation positions, failed to sort the mutation positions leading to either incorrect positions (they were clustered to the right-hand end of the alignment) or an error.
