Database software for human development

A regional DevInfo 6.0 training workshop was conducted for Latin American users and database administrators at the International Labour Organization (ILO) Regional Office in Lima, Peru from 24 to 28 August 2009. The event was organized by UNDOCO with UNICEF Peru support.

The objective of the workshop was to present the new features of the DevInfo 6.0 User and Database Administration applications to key DevInfo users and administrators in the Latin American region. Thirty participants attended the workshop from eight countries - Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela – as well as from DevInfo LAC, the Panama-based DevInfo technical support group for the Latin American and the Caribbean region.

The workshop concluded with participants having successfully learned the new features of DevInfo 6.0. Furthermore, a consensus was reached to continue working together to implement DevInfo at the country level across Latin American, with support from the UN system as needed
