The player plays AVI files captured from a DV camcorder and displays the DV time and date stamp that was stored by the camera in the hidden metadata area of the AVI file when the recording was originally shot. It also displays the timecode, user bits, and the camera's Exposure settings such as IRIS/aperture, shutter speed, gain, image stabilizer and white balance settings. All of this information is shown with Frame accuracy as you play or frame-step through your DV AVI file. You can also jump instantly Between scenes.

The tools allow you to burn-in the date and time that the recording was made into the visible area of each frame - this is often referred to as datacode or datecode. You can also choose to burn-in timecode, user-bits, iris, shutter speed, etc. Other tools include a powerful File Splitter which splits your DV AVI file into scenes using a range of triggers, and an metadata editor which can modify timecode, DV time and date stamp, user bits, widescreen flag and converts between NTSC drop and non-drop frame timecode.
