Custom Storage Class: Externally Referenced Structures (Scripts) Publisher's description

Custom Storage Classes allow users to instruct Real Time Workshop on exactly how to define, declare, and access parameter and signal data within code generated from a Simulink model. Since the instructions are created by the user, the variations in the code generated are unlimited.
The first step in making a Custom Storage Class is to lay out the abstraction of how a user would like to implement the CSC. For example, in this case
- A data class was designed such that signals could be referenced from externally defined and declared structures.
- As such, each signal had to be linked to some structure name, that structure being defined in a user specified header file. It is assumed that the header file also has the EXTERN declaration since this is accepted as good programming practice.
