FoxyProxy for Thunderbird for Mac Publisher's description
from Eric H. Jung
A Thunderbird add-on that acts as an advanced proxy management tool
FoxyProxy is a Thunderbird add-on that works like an advanced proxy management tool that completely replaces Firefox's limited proxying capabilities. FoxyProxy offers more features than SwitchProxy, ProxyButton, QuickProxy, xyzproxy, ProxyTex, TorButton, etc.
FoxyProxy automatically switches an internet connection across one or more proxy servers based on URL patterns. Put simply, FoxyProxy automates the manual process of editing Thunderbird's Connection Settings dialog. Proxy server switching occurs based on the loading URL and the switching rules you define.
Animated icons show you when a proxy is in use. Advanced logging shows you which proxies were used and when. With the QuickAdd feature creating new URL patterns becomes a piece of cake.
NOTE: The FoxyProxy is a Thunderbird add-on is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
