For some reason, Mozilla doesn't have a Canadian localization team, but I know that even the British dictionary doesn't quite cut it for the truly patriotic. This extension adds Canadian English to the spell check languages available under the latest Mozilla products. After installing this extension, you have to change your preferred language to Canadian English by right-clicking on a text box.
See my homepage for information about the public domain word lists, and for a quick guide on how to use spelling in Firefox 2.0
If you have any questions or problems, please send me an email. I'd also be happy to consider any suggestions for words to add or remove from the dictionary.
What's New in This Release:В· This major version update represents the integration of the latest SCOWL en-CA word list into my dictionary. I have incorporated most of the changes suggested to me through user feedback. Some changes had already been fixed in SCOWL, of course, and some words are deliberately excluded from SCOWL's spell-check library because they are uncommon. As such, there may appear to be regressions in this update - please feel free to continue to email me with your corrections, suggestions, and feedback.
