Library to diagnose and monitor Java enterprise application performance
PerfMon4jв„ў is a software API designed to diagnose and monitor application performance while the software is under load. It allows monitoring application on many levels, including:
* Method via declarative programming using Java Annotations.
* Method level via the Java Agent Instrumentation API.
* Servlet Request level via a Servlet Filter.
* Arbitrary code execution point via inserted timers.
What's New in This Release:В· Feature Request: Now you can monitor JDBC/SQL request durations. This option will enable you to monitor the percentage of time your method or process spends in java vs SQL.
В· See: Perfmon4j-ConfigSamples.pdf - Example 14 Г± Evaluate SQL/JDBC Duration (Version 1.1.0+) a configuration example.
В· Feature Enhancement: Reduced memory overhead associated with servlet request monitoring. This is particularly important for web services that generate a large amount of distinct URL paths (i.e. restful services)
В· New Perfmon4j now supports JBoss 6.x. The Perfmon4j-JBossConfigGuide.pdf now includes instructions for installation into JBoss (4x, 5x and 6x).
