JPasswordTools For Mac Publisher's description
JPasswordTools is a Java library for generation...
JPasswordTools is a Java library for generation, checking and hashing of passwords and is dual released under both MIT and GPL licenses.
Why were JPasswordTools created?
JPasswordTools was developed because many public sites and services still save plain text passwords and by that make it easier for hackers to obtain real passwords which may be used when attacking other sites.
Why use JPasswordTools?
Passwords may reveal a lot of information about a company or an individual, both private or economical information. Many people use the same password on many sites which make the password very important if it gets compromised.
It's easier to write programs that handle passwords more securely than just trust users that they use unique strong passwords at each service - that's why I developed this package.
