JambaLaya for Mac Publisher's description
Complete solution for playing live.
JambaLaya is a complete solution for playing live. It can handle just your keyboard rig - or use it for the whole band.
It is an Audio Unit host, conventional mixer, and remembers MIDI patch changes by song. It also allows you to store notes and lyrics. Use it as a virtual Fake Book.
Everything is designed to be fast and easy to use on stage. You can also use it as an effects processor by patching a couple of effects sends/returns from our main board. With a MOTU UltraLight, JambaLaya is pretty much a swiss army knife on stage.
NOTE: To be able to try Jambalaya you will need a time limited demo license that you can get if you follow the instructions available HERE.
Here are some key features of "JambaLaya":
В· Keyboard mapping is easy. Just drag the ends of the colored range bars to specify a range.
В· Eight channel mixer with full audio and MIDI routing, MIDI learn feature for external control of mute, volume, and solo buttons, and 4 effects inserts.
В· Easy rechanneling and filtering of MIDI data. Transpose notes, generate octaves and fifths for fatter parts.
В· Arrange songs into set lists. External MIDI devices are supported just like Virtual Instruments - MIDI patches are remembered and program change commands are sent when switching songs.
В· Open or save files disabled.
What's New in This Release:В· It took a little longer than expected but the Snow Leopard compatibility release is up. This is a free update for all users. Key features include better support for Cocoa based Audio Units with resizable windows (Apple Delay Unit for instance), a fix for saving under Snow Leopard where documents that contained songs without lyrics or notes would fail to save cryptically, and a fix for a crashing on exit problem introduced with new application termination behavior.
В· Feature-wise, the big feature is hierarchical menus for Audio Units. I've gotten to the point where I have so many virtual instruments that it was getting hard to find them. The instrument and effects menus are now arranged alphabetically by vendor, then plugin. This makes it much easier to find a specific item in a large collection of plugins.
System Requirements:No special requirements.
