ataidle sets the idle timer on ATA (IDE) hard drives, so the drive spins down when the period of inactivity has expired.To use it on FreeBSD you must be using 6 or newer; under Linux a 2.4 or newer kernel is required.
Usage: ataidle [-h] [-i] [-s] [-o] [-I standby_mins] [-S standby_mins] [-A aam_level] [-P apm_level] device
What's New in This Release:В· This version fixes a bug in FreeBSD support caused by setting CAM_OUT instead of CAM_NONE (causing the controller to expect data) for power management commands. It integrates write cache support and cleanups.
