linux default iconGNOME Do Publisher's description

GNOME Do is a powerful, speedy, and sexy remote control for your GNOME desktop.

GNOME Do is a powerful, speedy, and sexy remote control for your GNOME desktop. Oh, and it's powerful, speedy, and sexy on other GNU/Linux desktop environments, too!

GNOME Do allows you to quickly search for many items present in your GNOME desktop environment (applications, Evolution contacts, Firefox bookmarks, files, artists and albums in Rhythmbox, Pidgin buddies, etc.) and perform commonly used actions on those items (Run, Open, Email, Chat, Play, etc.). GNOME Do is inspired by Quicksilver for Mac OS X and GNOME Launch Box.

Here are some key features of "GNOME Do":

Don't search, Do!

GNOME Do is not a search tool. If you know what you're looking for and what you want to do with it, Do will help you do it quickly.

Awesome Plugins

GNOME Do is not just a launcher. Send emails and IMs, play music, search the web, and launch applications too. Plugins make it possible.

Beyond GNOME

GNOME Do is not only for GNOME. Although it was created by a GNOME lover, Do runs on KDE and other common environments.

What's New in This Release:

В· The main attraction in the big top is a fix for the "Do sits there eating 100% cpu" bug. In the lesser rings are multiple fixes for crasher bugs, numerous Network-Manager related fixes, and some minor polish. Rumours of flying pink elephants remain unconfirmed.

System Requirements:

No special requirements.
Program Release Status:
Program Install Support: Install and Uninstall
