linux default iconpasteCode Publisher's description

pasteCode is a Thunderbird extension that allows to email highlighted programming code.

Programmers: want to email some source code to a colleague and have it be actually readable and highlighted just like in your code editor? Well with pasteCode, you can do just that.

Your code is pasted into the email editor in a fixed width font with syntax highlighting. The highlighting is based on C/C++ syntax, but it makes most source code look pretty good.

Q: will there be more language be supported eg scripts, html?

A: In the short-term, no. I want to make this as useful and robust as I can with the plugin as it is. While the syntax highlighting is C/C++ based, it makes java, javascript, perl, python, etc. all look pretty good.

In the medium-term, perhaps. I'll have to see what demand is like. I don't want the plugin to be complicated to use so I'd want it to be clever and auto-determine the language being highlighted. This would require a lot of test effort to ensure it works well.
