Paintball is a standalone paintball game utilizing a modified Quake2 engine. Paintball2 is a fast-paced first-person game with capture the flag, elimination, siege, and deathmatch (free-for-all) styles of gameplay. This project focuses on enhancing the Quake2-based engine it uses.
What's New in This Release:В· Feature: Added support for variables in menu widgets - usable for map previews, etc.
В· Tweak: Up and down arrows work on select widgets (lists)
В· Tweak: Added TAB key for selecting different widgets in the menu.
В· Cvar: cl_drawfps 2 instantly updates framerate instead of averaging.
В· Cvar: cl_drawtexinfo displays texture name and flags of surface in front of player.
В· Bugfix: Fixed blending of lightmaps and transparent textures with alpha channels on trans33 or trans66 surfaces.
В· Bugfix: Fixed crash with "dumpuser" command.
В· Bugfix: Fixed rscript envmap on transparent surfaces.
В· Media: New weapon sounds, including dry fires.
В· Tweak: Added sleep to server loop to hopefully prevent crashed servers from eating all CPU.
В· Cvar: s_resamplequality - If set, sound resampling will use a linear algorithm to improve quality of non-48khz sound files.
В· Cvar: s_resamplevolume - Since new sounds are quieter to avoid clipping, old non-48khz sounds will be scaled down by this value (default is 0.5, 50%).
