nSnake Publisher's description
from Alexandre Dantas
This is a simple clone of the classic snake game.
This is a simple clone of the classic snake game. It has text-only graphics, made with ncurses.
Currently, it only works on Linux (Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora). Support for Windows is on it's way.
nSnake is made in C and documented with Doxygen.
The purpose of nSnake game was to provide a simple-coded, almost tutorial-like game with C. The source code is so well-commented that it's like it's talking to you.
Simple textual interface!
Two gameplay modes: With or without borders!
Largely commented source code!
9 Speed Levels!
What's New in This Release:These days i finally released version 1.5 of my game nSnake. For those who don’t know, it is a simple clone of the classic snake game, but it’s playable through the terminal. Download the latest version here.
The gameplay haven’t changed much. The great changes are on the code – i completely refactored it. My goal was to make it simpler than ever, applying new concepts i’ve recently learned. Here are the biggest changes (the rest of them are listed in the ChangeLog’ file):
Fixed high-score bug: it works just fine now – storing it’s files on /var/games, as required by the File System Hierarchy Standard…
Complete code reformatting – cleaned a lot the source code, main documentation page on separate file…
Man page! To get help with nsnake, type man nsnake’ or nsnake –help’.
System Requirements:В· Ncurses
