This package contains the tools and image needed to restore or replace the operating system image on the HP Compaq Blade Workstation Client running the HP Blade Workstation Client Embedded (OEM) Operating System.

NOTE: The image contained in this package must be deployed on a 256-MB drive key (or larger) using the dskimg32 tool included in this package.

ENHANCEMENTS:
- Updates the HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) Receiver to version RGS 5.2.5.

FIXES:
- Reinforces the keyboard choice with setxkbmap, in order to fix issues with non-US keyboards in Synergy.
- Avoids Twinview if there is dead space in the layout, in order to fix a cursor-tracking anomaly.
- Repositions SAM (forcibly) to a visible part of the screen when there is grey-space in the layout.

PREREQUISITES:
- 256-MB (or larger) drive key is required for image deployment.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE: The dskimg32.exe utility contained in this package is only to be used in the deployment of this image.


To use this SoftPaq, complete the following steps:

1. With the appropriate USB drive key plugged in, open a command window and run dskimg32.exe to obtain the drive key ID (only one drive key should be plugged in when running this program). HP branded keys are recommended in order to guarantee that the image will be copied correctly.
Example: dskimg32.exe
Output will indicate that the USB drive key is mapped to HD*.

2. Run dskimg32.exe client-10.xx.img.
Example: dskimg32.exe client-10.xx.img HD3 (where HD3 is the device ID for your drive key).

NOTE: Be sure to use the correct drive key device ID, because all data on the device will be replaced by the client image.

3. Start (boot) the HP Compaq Blade Workstation Client from the USB drive key and follow the on-screen instructions.



It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
