Lenovo 3000 G530 Conexant Audio Driver 3.49.4.50 for Windows XP
This package enables or updates the audio function for Microsoft Windows XP users.
The following systems are supported:
- Lenovo N500
- Lenovo G530 (MT 4446 only)
Installation instructions
Installing the driver
1. Start Windows.
2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
3. Run Command Prompt as Administrator Click Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt Right click -> Run as Administrator
4. Specify "SETUP.EXE" with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
5. The device driver will be installed automatically.
6. If needed, restart the system.
Unattended install
This procedure is intended for system administrator use only.
1. Start Windows.
2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
3. Run Command Prompt as Administrator Click Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt Right click -> Run as Administrator
4. Specify "setup -s" with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
5. The device driver will be installed automatically.
6. If needed, restart the system.
Uninstalling the driver
1. Start Windows.
2. Open Control Panel. Click Start, and select Control Panel.
3. In the Control Panel window, click "Uninstall a program" which under "Programs".
4. Select "Conexant HD Audio".
5. Click Uninstall. If system pup-up "Programs and Features" dialog, click "Yes". Then, syetem will pop-up "User Account Control" dialog, click "Allow".
6. Device Utility will be uninstalled automatically.
7. Click "Yes" to restart system.
8. Click Start, and select Control Panel.
9. Click System and Maintenance.
10. Click System, select Device Manager. Syetem will pop-up "User Account Control" dialog, click "Continue".
11. Double click "Sound, video and game controllers"
12. Right click at "Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221", select Uninstall.
13. Enable "Delete the driver software for this device", click OK.
14. Device Driver will be uninstalled automatically.
15. If needed, restart the system.
