HP ProBook 4520s Notebook BIOS F.0B
This package creates files that contain an image of the System BIOS (ROM) for the supported notebook models with a 68AZZ Family ROM. This package is used to flash the System ROM on supported notebooks that are running a supported operating system. This package includes the following methods for updating the BIOS version: - Use the HPQFlash Utility to update the BIOS directly in a Microsoft Windows Operating System environment. - Create a bootable USB key to update the system BIOS. - Use HP System Software Manager (SSM) to update the system BIOS on target PCs in a network. NOTE: To determine the ROM family and ROM date, press F10 on the target notebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information.
- Adds support for the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370 Graphics Solution. - Adds multi-language support for the "Audible alerts during boot" option in the Setup Utility (F10).
1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).
2. Depending on the desired update method, complete either of the following actions:
a. To update the BIOS using HPQFlash or to create a bootable disk-on-key, double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
b. To use HP System Software Manager (SSM) to update the BIOS on notebooks in a network, copy the downloaded file to the file store, and then run the SSM software.
- Fixes an issue where the "Audible alerts during boot" option is disabled if the BIOS Administrator password is entered incorrectly three times. - Fixes an issue that occurs when a user logs into the notebook from another PC using the Remote Desktop Connection (RDP). When this issue occurs, if the notebook lid is closed after logging into it using RDP and then the notebook lid is opened, the notebook LCD panel is blank.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
